---Credits below description of An Agreeable Sound--- "An Agreeable Sound " is a video series I am working on. The concept is how some "good" and some "bad" music from the 1980's can make people from my generation feel. A certain song can make you think of the seventh grade dance or even just driving around in the old family car with your dad. The 80's were a big chunk of our childhood and every once in a while it is nice to go back to that place. The second my wife and I booked our trip to California I knew it was time to call Brian and start planning his episode. Over the next few months we would text ideas back and forth and talk on the phone now and then to discuss them. What I thought would happen did... we had tons of ideas and we loved every one of them. A good problem to have but we decided to pick just a few and do them right. I knew I wanted to really take advantage of San Diego and the beach as a location. Also I only wanted to shoot in the couple hours leading up to sunset which is what we did. Shooting in the actual ocean was a lot trickier than I planned for. First of all the water was cold...very cold. My crew had wetsuits to stay warm but Brian and I did not. The waves though not big were brutal and made it hard to keep a steady shot. Also I just went for it with no protection on my camera and it did get a little wet but nothing major. We spent a few hours thrift store hunting for the props I wanted and scored big with a sweet keyboard that was half off at only $2.99. Speaking of the keyboard , watching a homeless man take it out of the trash and walk away with it as water poured from it was hilarious. Like all of the episodes, we had a shit load of fun planning and shooting and being at the beach made it even better. CAST AND CREW - BRIAN - It was so great working with him on his episode because he and I have a lot of the same views on the creative process. Brian was all about making any vision I had happen for this shoot. He has an unmatched sense of humor and in my opinion pulled off an amazing performance. ANDY (man on beach)- He was the first person I thought of for a cameo in Brian's episode. We actually shot a bunch of funny footage with him but most didn't fit in the flow of the episode. Or did it? Andy is one funny dude and it was great to have his help. SARAH- It is so great to have an amazing wife that goes along with my stupid ideas and has a blast the entire time. Sarah was such a huge help with so many parts. She did some superb kite work and helped to pull off some tricky shots. Also she was in the cold ocean with a wetsuit on to be the "puppeteer" for the keyboard. MAUREEN- She was also a huge help. Maureen was totally down for coming out into the ocean to operate the music for Brian to hear and to be my warning before getting slammed by a wave. She also was great for helping with ideas and to solve problems. DEVIN- This was the first time I met him but he was down with helping out on the Andy stuff we shot and I appreciate that. It has been a long time since I have had the time to make a new episode and I was really looking forward to start this one. The shoot was at Harmony and Justin's beautiful house and it was the perfect location. Some great people came to hang out and help make this episode . HARMONY SULLIVAN - She is perfect for this series because she is super fun and up for anything . Harmony nailed a fantastic performance with great energy . She was really good at taking direction and came up with some great ideas during the shoot. SABINA - She has to be one of the cutest little girls on the planet . I think she thought she was dreaming when we were telling her it was ok to throw food. She was hesitant at first but then she started having a lot of fun with it. SKIP DAYAK (MY BROTHER) - We have had countless hours of conversations about Phil Collins and music in general . I knew he would be the perfect guitar solo playing mailman and he was. Skip did a great job on the day of the shoot and played the part beautifully . JUSTIN CUMMINGS - Justin is one funny dude . He didn't even hesitate when I told him my idea for his cameo . He was also the dog whisperer to Nugget. When Justin was taking Sabina for her nap and she was crying I yelled for him to set her on the steps really quick so I could get some footage . It was wrong how much enjoyment two grown men got watching a child cry but it was only because we both knew how great the footage was. NATE HOWELL- He is one of my favorite crew members to have around for many reasons. Nate is great to bounce ideas off of and I know I can count on him to take care of some details so I don't have to worry about them. He helped a lot on this episode but his main thing was making the guitar lower to my brother and he did an awesome job with it. SARAH DAYAK - The fact that my wife has so much fun helping with these episodes makes me happy. She helped a lot with Sabina and she was the other side of the guitar as it lowered . Also she was the seamstress and needed to make some modifications to the mailman uniform. AMY GARBARK- Amy was great with her niece Sabina and getting her to do things so that was a huge help. I really like having Amy around too because of her photography background if I need an opinion on a shot's composition or exposure. STEEVO CUMMINGS - He was only there shortly , I think to make sure I was doing everything right. Even for a short time it is always cool to have him around. GARRET JONES - I asked Garret to stop by my house during post production because he knows his shit. He gave me some tips on color correction because it is usually a step I skip because I don't find it fun. Garret helped just fine tune a few things without getting to crazy about it. BREDE YOUNG - Thanks for having a smoke machine for some reason and for letting me borrow it. KELLY YANN and ZACH MOORE - Thanks for lending me the mailman shirt , I will return it soon... I promise . Music by the one and only Phil Collins - buy his music here-https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/phil-collins/id153718

I was asked to document the art installation piece entitled "Plume" by artist Ian Brill . He installed the piece at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts . It is something that should be seen in person to really appreciate it. The overall dimensions are 20'x20'x10' .
